September '10: Cimtas wholly acquired one of the largest shipyards in Turkey

Cimtas acquired one of the largest and most modern shipyards in Turkey which became Cimtas Module and Shipyard. The yard is located in the Kocaeli Free Zone near Golcuk town of the Marmara sea. The yard's fenced area is 100.000 m2 with 250 m water front and 30.000 m2 covered fabrication, piping, painting shops and offices. The larger of the two slipways is of 180 x 56 m dimensions with 60.000 dwt and 400 t gantry capacity. The yard built and delivered the largest chemical/oil product tankers in Turkey with 20.000 dwt.
