March '10: Cimtas delivered largest & heaviest Steel Wind Tower

Çimtaş has successfully fabricated and shipped the largest and heaviest Steel Wind Tower manufactured in Turkey as of today.

This Steel Wind Tower has been shipped to 'Soma Wind Energy' Project site in four sections with a total weight of 193 tons and bottom diameter/length of 4.3 meter/76.9 meter respectively.

All fabrication steps including shell rolling, welding, heat treatment, quality control and NDE, painting and packing have been conducted in-house at Cimtas Gemlik Works.

With this project, Çimtaş continues to serve the wind energy sector by delivering high quality, engineering, procurement and welded fabrication services safely and on-time.
